Manchester City midfielder Rodri has claimed that Arsenal's negative approach to their match back in March was one of the deciding factors in the Premier League title race

Rodri has suggested that Arsenal lacked the mentality to win the Premier League after Manchester City clinched their fourth title in a row.

The Gunners headed into the season finale knowing they would need their rivals to drop points if they were to win their first Premier League title since 2004. But City recorded a ninth consecutive victory to extinguish Arsenal's title hopes. Speaking after the West Ham match, Rodri told Optus Sport: “It’s the mentality. Great players are all over the leagues, all over the clubs. Arsenal also, they did an unbelievable season.

“In the end, if you give us one point, we will win the last seven, eight games even though it is tough. It is in terms of mentality.”City have now won the Premier League six times in the past seven years under Guardiola, who also led the club to a maiden Champions League crown as part of remarkable treble last season.
