Robert Troy has ‘cleared the air’ in resolving declaration errors – Taoiseach

Image: PA Image: PA THE TAOISEACH HAS said he is satisfied junior minister Robert Troy has “cleared the air” in resolving errors by declaring his interests to the Irish Parliament.

In the latest error, Troy admitted to the Sunday Times that one of his rental properties was not registered with the Residential Tenancies Board . “I think he has made a comprehensive statement on this now to clarify and to put everything out there. Quite a number of what he didn’t declare in 2020, he did declare in previous years,” the Fianna Fail leader said.

“In my view he works very hard, he’s a very diligent minister of state and takes his job very seriously and has applied himself very diligently to that.”

Not minimising this but if he is tax compliant I don't see a huge issue, if not well that's a different story!

It seems he made a mistake and forgot. I don't think Twitter feedback with change anything, this man has more strips than us and can't be questioned.

A friend forgot to register 1 property for this year after previously registering it for the past 3 years. Was fined €230.

Error? An error is forgetting to get milk from the shops when you get the bread and butter. Bollox!

I wonder if the letting agent he used has neglected to register other properties properly?

So if u have a rental property and don't register it can you just play dumb when caught.. is there any consequences
