Robert Rock has shot a record Irish Open round of 60 to take control at the top of the third round leaderboard in Lahinch.
But he didn't realise he had a chance to shoot 59 until he looked at his scorecard on the last after hitting his tee shot."I wasn't going to leave my eagle putt short on 18," he smiled."I'm 42 now and I've always wanted to shoot a low score like this, I've seen others do it over the years and wondered if I'd get the chance."
"I'd love it to be but that tournament 10 years ago was still fantastic, Shane deserved to win and he has been fantastic," remarked Rock.
