A total of 1,948 megawatts were successful at this year’s RESS auction, which cleared at an average price of almost €100 per megawatt hour.

The average price of renewable energy from the state’s latest Renewable Electricity Support Scheme auction has increased to almost €100 per megawatt hour . Results released by Eirgrid on Friday evening show the average price of renewable energy from successful bids to the 2022 RESS auction stood at just under €98 per MWhr, which is a 32 per cent on the previous auction.
