Rebecca Browne , who was originally from Co Derry, diedThe GSOC investigation has been re-designated to examine whether the actions of An Garda Síochána amount to criminal in nature, a solicitor for her family has said.Ms Browne was killed while she was returning from a night out in Buncrana on May 21st."The family of Ms Browne have had concerns surrounding the tragedy from the outset and want the circumstances to be investigated rigorously," he said.
“We will continue to work closely with the family to ensure a full and proper investigation is carried out"."We are pleased to hear that the investigation is being taken seriously by the Garda Ombudsman," she said."We miss our daughter dearly and can only hope that justice will be served," she added.
