The senator appeared to be headed for a wider final margin in yesterday’s runoff. Walker, a football legend who first gained fame at the University of Georgia and later in the NFL in the 1980s, was unable to overcome a bevy of damaging allegations, including claims that he paid for two former girlfriends’ abortions.

Voters returned Warnock to the Senate in the same cycle they re-elected Republican Governor Brian Kemp by a comfortable margin and chose an all-GOP slate of state-wide constitutional officers.

Social Democrats say vacant home tax 'pathetically low'Social Democrats co-leader Róisín Shortall has called for a 10% tax on vacant homes to encourage owners to rent or sell their properties. She told the Dáil that the proposed 0.3% tax was at a 'pathetically low level' Surely it'll be incredibly easy to get around this tax? Just say you are renovating or waiting to avail of a retrofitting scheme which you could be wauting years for anyway. How about all the council houses left vacant and nothing done about it Tax doesn't solve your problems. Tax on carbon emissions doesn't suddenly remove green house gases any more than taxing vacant housing will suddenly make them available. Nationalise all vacant houses and give them to councils to refurbished and then house people

Something needs to be done, more than act. We had enough acting out of these corrupt showers. Gov and immediately don't go in the same sentence anyway, they normally wait for someone to die. WhitmoreJen Would be interested in retraining but can't afford to take 2 years out with little to no income. Unless the conditions are attractive, forget it.
