The rain is due to set in overnight, as Met Eireann has issued a status Yellow rain warning for the entire country.
The status Yellow warning is in place from 3AM on Monday morning, with the rain really moving in tonight, and continuing to be in place un til 8pm on Monday. Any areas which are easily prone to flooding may need to put preparations in place ahead of the forecast downpour.This warning is in place from 7AM Monday morning to 12PM.
Meanwhile, in Northern Ireland, there is also a Yellow warning for counties Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Tyrone and Derry.
