More than 100 fines were handed out in Northern Ireland for breaches of the coronavirus regulations and 34 prohibition notices were issued over house parties on New Year's Eve.
In terms of the coronavirus regulations, officers issued 126 fines of £200 each as well as 34 prohibition notices in response to house parties and two penalty notices for businesses which continued to operate. Northern Ireland is not updating its Covid-19 figures again until tomorrow but the deaths of 11 people were confirmed yesterday along with 1,929 new infections.
"The combined impact of this pandemic and the festive season will have made it really tough for people experiencing abuse and, in some situations, even worse."
Their is no regulations only guidelines.
I said all along they should have shut the off sales everywhere and they didn’t. Same thing will happen again on Valentines Day and St Patrick’s Day let this be a lesson. Shut up shop those dates.
And our governments love criminals so much, they are making more of them.
Fines for socialising.. And prohibition notices.. What an over exaggerated response to the flu..
