No farmer will be forced to cut herd - McConalogueThe Minister for Agriculture, Charlie McConalogue, told RTÉ's Prime Time that no farmer will be forced to cut their herd as a result of the 25% carbon emission reduction plan. Hopefully they'll be incentivised to take appropriate actions, whether that's more rewilding, reducing fertilizer run off, lower stocking levels, reduce feed imports or whatever is suitable for the individual farm Fianna Fáil will know all about the word 'cut' when the next election comes around.
