Pinergy, the renewable electricity provider, has called on the government to implement a cap on the price of wholesale electricity and introduce a windfall tax on energy generators amid rising costs for consumers and fears over companies exiting the market.
In its pre-budget submission, the Irish electricity reseller also urged Paschal Donohoe, the Finance Minister, to implement a zero per cent Vat rate on electricity in response to soaring costs.
It's like the banks, only Oil is real, energy production is real; money is printed, but do the media care ENOUGH TO INVESTIGATE IT? What about CCPCIreland not even an inquiry from them! This is the country of Hail Mary economics & subsidies & yes special VAT rates?
