The Budget will be announced next week

Budget Day is on the 27th of September and a number of measures are set to be announced to ease the rising cost of living.

Tanaiste Leo Varadkar has assured people will feel the difference very soon after the government unveil the budget.He told the Irish Times that the benefits will be deployed “well before Christmas. And people will also see a multibillion euro package which will take effect in the new year”.

There are a number of different measures expected in the Budget that will aim to ease the strain on households. The huge increase in energy bills has affected every household across the country and is the most noticeable side effect of the cost of living crisis. To help people pay their bills, it is believed each household will receive three €200 energy credits.Government is also considering giving social welfare recipients a bonus payment before December, on top of the Christmas bonus.Read more:
