England star Harry Maguire had just completed an £80million move to Manchester United from Leicester City, and Paul Merson labelled the transfer fee 'ridiculous'

Paul Merson's comments about Harry Maguire from earlier in the season have resurfaced following the Manchester United star's poor run of form.

United fans are sticking by him for the most part, but some have drawn attention to Merson's comments about the defender from the start of the season. Back in August 2019, Merson said on Sky Sports' Soccer Saturday: "Maguire for £80million is ridiculous at the highest level.
