A former flight attendant has revealed how wearing one particular style of clothing could see passengers turned away from boarding a plane.
But a travel writer, who also worked as a flight attendant for 33 years, says that there is a variety of clothes you could wear that can result in you being refused entry to the plane, according to Birmingham Live. This power held by cabin crew is designed to avoid any potential conflicts that could arise mid-air which could force the flight to make an emergency landing to offload disruptive passengers, delaying everyone else's journey.
Another flight attendant said: "We're well within our rights to prevent people getting on the flight and it's used frequently for people who aren't dressed in a way we would deem to be acceptable."
