It is"impossible" to provide safe care to patients in overcrowded settings along with the threat of transmissible viruses in hospitals, according to Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation President and advanced nurse practitioner at Beaumont Hospital Karen McGowan.
She said patients do not do well in busy and manic environments as she outlined the knock on effects in terms of their recovery. "So it is not unusual at the moment to walk into our department to find 40 or 50 patients. We only have 12 cubicles." We need more beds in the 1980 when the country was on its knees we had 6000 more beds it's simple get more beds
It sure is, hummmmmm rte reporting this, very very suspicious 🤨
What ye need to understand is that the staff is not there to man all these beds as it is and our young people that qualify want to travel that's the reality.
How did that work out?

How dreadful.
Twas a bad policy closing perfectly good hospitals.
And now she will be getting targeted by the hospital administration for not being a 'team player'.
Don't you think it's take care of everyone but your own.
It's disgraceful sucessive governments have given millions each year to horse and greyhound racing with the total over 20 years in the billions to TD's betting buddies and not enough to a vital service like public health. Shame on the politicians!
Excess mortality is up globally though! Anyone know what might have happened in 2021 which may have caused this problem?!
anbealach It’s disgraceful..our universities are top tier, advertising abroad for foreign students to up their status. No accommodation when students arrive and our own are living at home and working in conditions that are 3rd world. Who the fuck is in charge? HSE Hospitals leovaradkar

Not only inhumane and unacceptable for patients but for staff alike!
