Budget 2020 to make over 55,000 more people eligible for medical cards in Ireland

Minister Paschal Donohoe will announce a major expansion of the medical cards scheme for over-70s in the budget on Tuesday.

Taoiseach says Budget will have modest welfare increaseThe Taoiseach has said there will be modest, targeted welfare increases in next Tuesday's Budget. Any chance you can stop taxing me at 52%? All because of a Brexit that may never happen ! Of course it would never cross his mind to formally ask Brussels for financial aid in the event of Brexit happening, given that we are the only sovereign EU state that has a land-border with the UK. That’s not our fault ! You know its not too late to have something in your budget to encourage the people in the 6 counties to really think. Hi that's good I must really start thinking about this New Ireland. Go on surprise us. Thanks
