Outrage as sick woman, 93, forced to sleep on A&E chair in Co Antrim hospital

A sick 93-year-old woman was forced to sleep on a chair in an Emergency Department corridor overnight as she waited for a hospital bed.It is understood the pensioner first attended Antrim Area Hospital’s Emergency Department at 11am on Sunday morning with her daughter, Belfast Live reports.

Aidan Hanna from NI Patient Voice said: "This family got in touch with us saying that they were really, really unhappy that she was put to sleep on a chair overnight.

Outrage because the lady was waiting 24 hrs for a bed. In the south that would be a good outcome!!! It's funny how expectations hit the floor when the country's health service is almost dead as a dodo.
