Thinking of what to watch on the telly this evening? Lucky for you, there’s some great choices amongst the movies on TV tonight., with those praising its shockingly honest detailing of heroin addiction, withdrawal and for having no filter when it comes to the effect drugs can have on people’s lives.
Starring Ewan McGregor, Ewen Bremner, Jonny Lee Miller, Kevin McKidd, Robert Carlyle, and Kelly Macdonald, the flick is based on Scottish author Irvine Welsh’s novel of the same name and follows a group of heroin addicts in a economically deprived area of Edinburgh.‘s seminal flick is a perfect companion to the gritty British crime dramas of the 90s, but it’s certainly not for the faint of heart.
With that lack of filter comes a very raw and extremely dark film, given its nature, but is buoyed by its humour and heart, great soundtrack and some incredible performances from the main cast. One of the best coming-of-age movies ever made is among the movies on TV tonight, starring an excellent cast of child stars and based on a short story by Stephen King.stars in this 2010 Ridley Scott-directed action adventure based on the legendary figure who steals from the rich and gives to the poor. It’s unfortunately not very good.
