The lab would also be unable to operate on Saturday and Sunday of next weekend as well, October 31st and November 1st, the notice said. lab was a result of “unavoidable staff shortages,” the notice said. The notice, posted on Thursday, apologised for the “late notice and for any inconvenience this may cause.”

Bank holiday weekend..pints with friends 🤣 let’s save Christmas

Good, at least well get a small respite from the fearmongering daily cases. Jesus.. what will it take to wake up from this nightmare.

grantjjeffrey Spare a thought for the staff. Phenomenal amount of work completed 2 such high standards. Rem this is not just the C19 testing lab but national virus reference lab, essential, critical specialist testing maintained throughout. Oh and a novel virus... Hero's. Thoughts with team.

Nobody willing to do a bit of overtime for a good cause? Typical. HSE is ruined by unions.

The Bung and Crony culture fails again.

Very inconvenient for those waiting but staff must be exhausted covering for the isolating team. He made the right call by giving them the weekend off. They are having difficulty recruiting lab workers.

isn’t this what the lab in Munich is on standby for. The AirCorps will just drop the tests over there for processing, it’ll be grand 🦠(hopefully 🤞)

Just as well the virus only spreads during the week. And takes the mid term off.

Can’t process tests this weekend or next weekend. The lab must be self isolating for 14 days.

Welcome to the DonnellyStephen sh1tshow!

One way of getting the numbers down. Just don’t test anyone. No tracing last weekend. No labs to process tests this weekend. Test and trace Ireland 🙃🤪 Sure Donnelly will find someone else to blame for this mess.

Turns out all those business graduates are fuck all use.

So there’ll be a lull of testing for this “deadly virus” and when testing resumes there’ll be an artificial spike in cases / numbers because of 5 ish days of no tests...big Tony will have a hard-on like never before, sitting there stroking his own ego while everyone else laughs.

~~~sigh~~~
Or won't pay double time on BH
