A notorious gangster, who is viewed as one of the northwest's most feared criminals, has been arrested over a "brutal" assault the night before his pal's funeral, The Irish Mirror can reveal.
Gardai launched a major assault investigation and gathered CCTV, which is central to the probe, before three men were arrested this Wednesday morning. In a statement, the Garda press office confirmed that the three men were taken to Sligo General Hospital for treatment. "Three men aged in their 20s were taken to Sligo General Hospital to be treated for injuries believed to be non-life threatening.
