North-South Ministerial Council to meet over Covid-19

The Taoiseach, the Tánaiste, and the Minister for Health are travelling from Dublin.

The two administrations on an island with a porous border are committed to cooperation in efforts to halt the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.Taoiseach Leo Varadkar announced the closure of schools and colleges, and the curtailment of indoor gatherings and outdoor events. As worried neighbours, challenged by a virus that does not respect borders, they will be keen to find common cause.
