There is no evidence the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine against Covid-19 needs updating to protect against variants, BioNTech has said

Image: SIPA USA/PA Images Image: SIPA USA/PA Images THERE IS NO evidence the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine against Covid-19 needs updating to protect against variants, BioNTech has said.

However, the company said it had developed a “comprehensive strategy” to address any coronavirus variants in the future should the need arise. However, experts believe the jab can still protect against severe disease and hospital admission – a view echoed by Oxford University and AstraZeneca when looking at their own vaccine.

Under the agreement, Ireland would have enough to fully vaccinate approximately 2.45 million people with two doses. Ireland will also retain the option of securing an additional 9.8m doses over the same time period.

What about that rubbish Astra Zeneca?

YEaH SuRe oK. This is coming from the same company that has committed some of the biggest healthcare fraud in us history... go figure. Moderna on the other hand is actually showing more of their studies into variants and are looking for a booster shot. Pfizer lying again it seems

There is also no evidence of the long term effects of these vaccines. I will wait a year two.

ScruffyDev This is not a story we would expect from the Journal....Is there an intern there today....

No no variants are like new viruses. Lockdown forever. Never admit we over reacted. Everything we did was 100% correct, even the illogical contradictions of the previous policies we gave out. No holidays, pints or jobs ever again. Dead grannies everywhere. It’s not a severe flu.
