Minister for Finance Paschal Donohoe (Paschald) tells Irish Times PwCTaxSummit there is significant risk of a crash-out Brexit on October 31st

has warned, noting that preparations for such a scenario now had the highest priority across Government.

This was to give “certainty to businesses and citizens that the Government is prepared for a no-deal Brexit and stands ready to support the economy,” he said. He said that in a no- deal scenario the Government would make resources available to support those in need while introducing timely, targeted and temporary supports to the sectors of the economy most exposed.

Ireland has been at the centre of the storm over multinational tax avoidance because of the aggressive tax strategies deployed here by companies such as Apple and Google.

Paschald Dearth of comms from govt other than platitudes about 'be ready' is disgraceful. What are the preparations for people on critical meds? I certainly have seen no comms addressing this. My father needs a lot of meds so, will they be available after Brexit..... who knows?

Paschald He's having you on.

Paschald It’s non-stop poor mouthing these days from FineGael in regards to anything that relates to the economy, blamed on Brexit. We can all see the picture. They haven’t done near enough with what whatever recovery we have had & have plunged our services & infrastructure into crisis.
