Addressing his party's annual conference in Mullingar this evening, Mr Howlin called for leadership on the issue and accused the Taoiseach of "sending out mixed messages at best". Small gains in the local elections earlier this year have given members hopes of doubling their seats in the next general election.
He accused the Taoiseach of being ignorant or of having a contempt for science in relation to climate change, calling the Government's current plans "inadequate". The party leader said the next challenge for Labour is the four by-elections in less than three weeks' time. Earlier today Mr Howlin said the four by-elections at the end of this month will test the popularity of those in control of what he described as the "do nothing Dáil."
Racism isn't new in Irish politics. And Leo wasn't sending out mixed messages. He was directly aligning with the anti-immigrant anti-asylum racists in Ireland and asking them to vote Fine Gael.
Why is what these fools are saying still relevant.
Why the Trump like prowling ?
I thought alankellylabour was the labour leader
True
The Labour Party have been enablers in chief for the Tweedledee and Tweedkedum of politics for generations.
Why the feck is labour PINK and PUSE irishlabour
Toxic socialism/ racism against indigenous Irish is what has brought this country to its knees.
Has Brendan Howlin lost his memory, what a hypocrite! Does he actually think people can't remember what Labour has done in previous years.
