There's been a mixed reaction on social media following the announcement that the Caramac and Animal Bar are being pulled from shelves
Nestlé, the world’s largest food and beverage company, has announced that it is discontinuing Caramac and Animal Bars after more than 60 years.
"We know fans will be disappointed to see it go, but this change will enable us to focus on our best-performing brands, as well as develop exciting new innovations to delight consumers’ taste buds." She described it as "one of the best candy bars there is", and explained that it reminded her of her late mother."Sounds silly but she loved Caramac and Turkish Delight. It’s so different from the other stuff."
One person on social media said the bar "brings back fond memories of childhood", adding that they "know of no other chocolate bar that cracks in the same deliciously satisfying way".
