Murder investigation launched as man's body found in burning car in Dublin

Gardai are investigating the murder of a man who was found in a burnt out car in Lucan, west Dublin on Monday night.

It is believed that the man may have got into the hatchback car with a person or people he trusted and may have been drove to the scene.The area still remains sealed off this morning as Gardai continue to try to identify the person and the details of the car.Local councillor Anne-Marie McNally told Dublin Live that the community is shocked at the news which comes just months after a man was shot multiple times in nearby Griffeen Glen Park.

"It's still early in the investigation so we don't really know or completely understand what's going on."The area is a popular cut-through route from the bus stop off the N4. A lot of people would go through it.
