Muireann O’Connell says it's an ‘honour’ to be part of Ireland AM

Muireann O’Connell has told how it’s “an honour to get up in the morning” and be a part of the Ireland AM team.

She continued, “Ireland AM, it’s like an institution. It’s going for 25 years now, and it’s still doing what it does. “I think it’s amazing — I couldn’t do what he does, I wouldn’t have a clue and don’t want to. I’ve done this thing where I’ve taken myself offline more, because I was like, ‘why am I feeling so bad?’ And it was like, ‘oh, social media’ — so I’m stopping doing that.“One thing we’re finding is that the return to TV is a big thing; traditional sort of TV. We’re seeing it in America and certainly with shows like ours that are lifestyle shows.

Eric added, “It’s very surreal for the likes of me, because obviously I was a full time SNA until only last March. The pair also opened up about some of the moments that have left them starstruck, with Muireann recalling how there was one encounter that left her “a little puddle of mush”.
