Gardai are continuing to be busy conducting patrols on checkpoints on Irish roads to ensure drivers are adhering to safety laws.
Members of the force were on patrol on one major route on Tuesday morning when they caught a motorist for an unusual offence. A patrol car from Naas Roads Policing Unit was travelling on the N7 when they spotted a driver "doing their makeup while in heavy traffic".Gardai said: "Naas Roads Policing Unit were on patrol on the N7 when they saw this driver doing their makeup while in heavy traffic.Elsewhere, another motorist was arrested after they tested positive for cocaine.
