Arsenal are braced for interest in Mika Biereth this summer in the wake of the striker's impressive loan spell with Sturm Graz in Austria - leaving Mikel Arteta with a decision to make.
Biereth has gone from strength to strength since joining Sturm Graz, plundering eight goals in just 11 games. And with that in mind, the Bundesliga outfit would like to sign him on a permanent basis. That poses a problem for Arsenal given Biereth has just one year remaining on his current contract and first-team opportunities have been at a premium during his time in north London.
As well as deciding Biereth's future, Arteta has other things to ponder in the forward area as the end of season draws closer, with Arsenal likely to sign a new No.9 in the summer. Long-term target Ivan Toney features on said list and would likely be attainable given he will have just one year remaining on his Brentford contract. The striker, who recently scored his first goal for England, is by no means the Gunners' only option, though.Other names being considered by Edu and co include Viktor Gyokeres, who has a formidable record in front of goal since joining Sporting Lisbon from Coventry in the summer, Newcastle 's Alexander Isak and Victor Osimhen.
