Facebook parent company Meta has been fined €265 million by Ireland’s Data Protection Commission after more than half a billion users’ data was leaked online last year.
The data watchdog said on Monday that it was imposing an order for Meta to bring its processing into compliance following an investigation to determine whether the social media giant had complied with its personal data obligations under General Data Protection Regulations .
