Met Eireann has given it's verdict on the October bank holiday weather before a major change in the forecast next week.

Met Eireann has forecast a sudden drop in temperatures due to a “change of air mass” affecting the weather. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees in moderate southeasterly winds, fresher along south and east coasts.
Showers will continue for a time overnight on Saturday, along with long clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees with light to moderate southeast winds.
