While the rest of Europe has been experiencing record breaking heat, parts of Ireland hit low twenties on Friday in a brief glimpse of summer weather.
"Scattered outbreaks of rain in the morning on Tuesday, gradually clearing southeastwards. Then brighter in the afternoon with spells of sunshine and just a few showers. Highest temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees, warmest in the southeast, in light northwesterly breezes. And it will get even better for Thursday and Friday - although it's not looking as great for the weekend.
