The last of the sun will be seen on Monday and Tuesday mainly in the east and southeast

Met Eireann has warned that the last of the sun will likely be seen on Monday and Tuesday, with showers expected to return mid-week.The overall forecast for Monday shows it will be mainly dry with hazy sunny spells, but isolated showers will affect the north and northwest.

It’ll be warm across the midlands, east and south with highest temperatures of 18C to 21C, but will be cooler elsewhere with highest temperatures of 15C to 18C. The rain will mainly affect the western half of the country with eastern counties experiencing the best of the mild weather.
