Ireland is set for a muggy week with humid temperatures reaching the low twenties later this the week. However, it'll be cool for July and there'll be a big change at night as temperatures will plunge, with even a risk of grass frost in the midlands.
A forecaster said: "Today will be a mainly dry day with good sunny spells but there will be some isolated showers throughout the day. "Cool for the time of year with highest temperatures of 14C to 18C but possibly reaching a degree or two higher in the southwest. Winds will be light to moderate and northwesterly or variable in direction."But the north and west won't get to soak up the sun as it'll be largely cloudy with some patchy drizzle there later.
A forecaster added: "Dry elsewhere with good sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 16C to 21C, coolest in northern areas, in light to moderate southwesterly breezes but increasing fresh along Atlantic coasts later in the day." The outlook for the coming days is for average or slightly below average temperatures around with warm and humid nights. But it will be rather cloudy with rain and drizzle at times.A Met Eireann forecaster said Wednesday and Friday appear to be the best days of the week.“Becoming rather cloudy and humid from midweek, with patchy drizzle at times, especially in the west and north.”
