Wednesday is shaping up to be the warmest day of the week

Sunshine and dry spells are on the cards this week as the mercury climbs as high as 20C in parts of the country.Wednesday is shaping up to be the warmest day with Clare, Cork, Galway and the midlands set to experience some sizzling spells.

A Met Eireann forecaster said: “Tuesday will be another mostly dry and sunny day, in no more than moderate easterly breezes.“A few showers will develop across the west of Connacht towards nightfall.Tomorrow will be dry and sunny with some clouds, but the temperature will soar to roasting highs 20C although a little bit cooler along the east coast.
