Meghan Markle has reportedly reached out to Princess Kate several times - but the Princess of Wales is "likely to reject" the olive branch and does not see her sister-in-law as a "qualified person" to give support or advice, experts say.
Royal author Tom Quinn previously told the Irish Mirror that Meghan, who has been the subject of online bullying herself, could use the Photoshop fiasco as an opportunity to patch things up with Kate. He claimed that the former Suits actress had "reached out several times" and was "genuinely worried" about her sister-in-law’s health.
But for now, it appears that a reconciliation between the royal women remains off the table. Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond explained that despite Meghan’s efforts, Kate is unlikely to regard her sister-in-law as a “qualified person” to give advice. She continued: “This is a time for Kate to concentrate on regaining her strength, physically and mentally, and I don’t imagine she would welcome tackling the family rift right now."
