The Limerick man has decided to call it a day after a difficult Division 2A campaign where Meath suffered four defeats in five games and finished bottom.
It leaves last year’s Christy Ring Cup champions on the lookout for a new manager ahead of a daunting Joe McDonagh Cup campaign.Meath’s McDonagh Cup opener is against Down on April 20, so the Royals will be keen to have their new manager in place as soon as possible..Davy Fitzgerald’s former right hand man in Waterford, Clare and then Wexford also helped Meath to win promotion from Division 2B last year.
