Ireland is going into a level five lockdown from midnight tonight and we've looked what measures will be in place during the next six weeks at supermarkets. The government recommends people trying to shop at quieter times of the day - keeping two metres away from others as much as possible - or asking family, friends or volunteers to collect food and medicines instead.
The supermarket expects to use a whopping 13,500 litres of hand sanitiser over the next six weeks, among a number of other steps to ensure public safety amid new Level Five restrictions. And Tesco Ireland CEO Kari Daniels has said customer safety is “our number one priority” as the shop moves to implement new safety protocols.
With the weather likely to deteriorate over the coming months as we head into winter, Tesco has also assured customers that it will put in place measures to protect them against the elements. “We’re always looking at ways to improve the experience for customers following the public health guidance as it evolves.
Would be great if lidl_ireland made their staff wear their masks correctly 🤦♀️ very unsettling to see their staff not following the basic rules
