Sinn Féin says Mairead McGuinness' Auschwitz comments reveal 'panic and desperation' in Fine Gael.

Image: RollingNews.ie FINE GAEL MEP Mairead McGuinness’ remarks about a recent trip to Auschwitz highlighting the importance of voters being careful with democracy and how they cast their ballot have been blasted as “desperation” by Sinn Féin.

The comments came amid the recent surge in poll support for Sinn Féin but McGuinness told reporters that she wasn’t referring to any particular political party when she made the remarks. Our democracy is of paramount importance and on Saturday people will have the opportunity to cast their judgement on Fine Gael’s abysmal record in office. A spokesperson for Fine Gael said it was not surprised that Sinn Féin was trying to “manufacture distractions” and called on the party to explain why a van canvassing for its candidate in the Cavan/Monaghan constituency, Pauline Tully, was filmed loudly playing a pro-IRA song.

My first time ever to not vote..really no choice..thinking SF but Mary Lou too much of a dictator and independents waste of time( self interest)labour betrayors..so no choices left.

Desperation? More like Delusion from the MEPs that voted to let migrants drown

This from a party that wears poppies, wants to celebrate the Black and Tans, build Orange Halls for the Orange Order and is fascinated with the Queen? They probably think the Old Rugged Cross is a pro IRA song as well?

Barristers crave cash. They’re mostly greedy Bast**ds. No matter what their political background. It’s all about the money with this particularly greedy bunch. 3 to 4 grand a day etc etc etc.

Why is Leo speaking under his breath. Does he think people are interested in lip reading.

Is that the blue shirts warning about their brothers the brown shirts who they fully supported during ww2.

Could be classic case of projection, ie projecting (or dumping) onto other's disowned or split-off parts of one's own unconscious darker self, shadow or psychic detritus and claiming it's their stuff. Does anyone read Freud anymore?

It's parties like FG that have destroyed our democracy corporations have more say on how our country is run than its citizens. Big business use our educated workforce for huge profit and contribute the minimum back.

Did Charlie Flanagan, who's father stated in the Dàil that the Ireland should 'rout' the Jews out of Ireland have any comment to make or was he too busy preparing a celebration of the RIC/AUXILLARIES/BLACK & TANS/ & B SPECIALS.

If u are Prolife u should not give any Vote to any of the main parties or candidates that supporte Abortion & Removal of the 8th. It be like if the Nazi Party first held a referendum on the Holocaust & u Voted No but then in a General Election u voted for Hitler & the Nazi Party

Well she is right, we should be careful. We could end up with a leader who didn’t win a vote, using identity politics and the veil of ‘progress’ to further impose austerity measures on the already defeated Irish populace. Or the fact that the party is literally rooted in fascism

Desperation by the blue shirts you wont see McGuiness doing anything about the homeless or the trolley disgrace

Meanwhile in the German state of Thuringia, on the same day, FG/EPP ally the CDU voted with the extreme right AFD, exceptionally far right in that state, and of which a granddaughter of Hitler’s finance minister is a member, to put in a liberal state PM to unseat SF ally Linke PM

Panic is an understatement

What? Panic over their connections with their Hungarian Nazi partners in the European Parliament, is it? lukeming FineGael
