Matt Hancock has broken his silence ahead of joining I'm A Celeb | Her.ie

After facing a lot of scrutiny for joining the show, Matt wrote in The UK Sun: “Next week I’m going into the jungle, as part of this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here."He went on to say that"some may think I’ve lost my marbles or had one too many drinks" but says there is no better way to speak and resonate with the British public than appearing on the"most watched programme on TV.

Matt was forced to resign from his ole as Health Secretary last year after videos emerged of him breaching COVID-19 social distancing restrictions when he was shown kissing his colleague Gina Coladangelo while he was married. It was also reported on Tuesday that Matt had been stripped of the Tory whip after signing up for the reality series on ITV, with Chief Whip Simon Hart saying he should no longer have the right to sit as a Conservative.“Following a conversation with Matt Hancock, I have considered the situation and believe this is a matter serious enough to warrant suspension of the whip with immediate effect,” he said.
