The Clare native and star of Marty in the Shed says light entertainment has been crucial during these unsettling times

The 61-year old famously won the hearts of the nation on Dancing with the Stars and said that he hopes the hit show returns, to get us through the winter.Marty told the Irish Mirror: “I’m not overly religious but I believe in God, I want to believe there’s an afterlife and want to meet the people who are gone, including my own dad.”

He revealed: “You look at nature and the birds singing, two little birds, a mommy and a baby have nested in the shed. The seasoned GAA pundit said competing on Dancing with the Stars was “one of the best things he’s ever done.”
