Abrhe Biniyan has no fixed address but said he had been living in Eritrea

A man who landed at Dublin Airport without a passport or identity documents has been jailed for two months.

In evidence, Garda Aidan Fitzgerald said the accused was stopped at the airport on April 3rd and had “no passport, no ID”.The court also heard that gardaí “can’t be 100 per cent” about his identity. Biniyan did not address the court but instructed the solicitor that he had to leave Eritrea, in east Africa and “fled the country due to political difficulties there.”
