The incident happened on the N21 at Ballymacelligott at around 8.30am on Saturday.A driver in one of the cars, a man in his 60s, was brought to Cork University Hospital by air ambulance. His injuries are understood to be serious.
A second man in his 60s who was driving the other car was also brought to hospital in Tralee as a precaution.
