A man in his 30s was fatally injured when the car he was driving collided with a wall.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been removed to St Luke's General Hospital in Kilkenny city.The road has been closed to allow for a technical examination by forensic collision investigators. Gardaí have appealed to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward and anyone with camera footage, including dash-cam footage, has been asked to make it available.
The incident is being investigated by gardaí in Thomastown and anyone with information can contact the station on 0567754150 or any garda station.
