Man dies after falling from mobility scooter in Cork | JOE.ie

A man in his mid-80s has died after falling from a mobility scooter while travelling in Kinsale in Cork.In a statement to JOE, a Garda spokesperson said that the road traffic incident occurred shortly after 9.30am on Sunday on Cork Street.Gardaí and emergency services attended at the scene and the seriously injured man was taken by ambulance to Cork University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

An examination of the scene by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators has been arranged and the local coroner has since been notified, the spokesperson stated.Anyone with information is asked to contact Bandon Garda Station on 023 8852200 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
