Man arrested over Mayo shooting released without charge

A man in his 60s, who has been named locally as farmer Brendan Kilduff, was shot dead at Coogue near Knock just before midnight on Tuesday.Gardaí have said the post-mortem examination following Mr Kilduff's death has been completed, but the results will not be released for operational reasons.Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information on the incident to contact Claremorris Garda Station on 094 9372080, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
