A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a pensioner in Balbriggan, north County Dublin last November.
Christy Hall, 65, was discovered lying dead in his home in Dun Saithne Green in Balbriggan, Co Dublin by one of his daughters last November. Defence solicitor Fiona D’Arcy said there is no application for bail “given the nature of the charge.”Mr Maughan’s solicitor applied for legal aid and when asked by Judge Gearty if the accused was a suitable candidate, Det Sgt McDonnell replied “Yes.”
