The dead man has been named locally as Ion Daghi , who was originally from Moldova. He had been living in Sallins with his family, including young children, and working in the construction trade. It is understood a number of his family members were present at his rented home in Sallins Park when he was killed in the early hours of Sunday morning.Rats in Dublin: ‘You can hear them at night, when you’re lying in bed.
Gardaí have sealed off the scene and the property underwent examination by members of the Garda Technical Bureau on Sunday. Statements have also been taken those people who were in the house, while the man in custody has been interviewed by detectives. However, that time can elapse over a much longer period if a suspect needs to take rest breaks or requires any medical treatment. At the expiry of the maximum period of detention, a suspect must be charged or released without charge.
