The prime suspect in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann tried to build a huge cellar at a second allotment in Germany. This comes as police found a secret cellar at an allotment in Hanover, 40 miles from where this new site in Braunschweig is now in the spotlight.
A neighbour today claimed that Brueckner dug out a cellar at the bottom of the garden house near Braunschweig."He took out the rocks and the earth."He carried out the rocks and earth by hand and dumped it out by the front of the house."He started in the morning and worked until evening.Brueckner owned a house on the allotment from August 2013 to April 2016, while he ran a kiosk in the city, 40 miles from Hanover.
Today’s owner, a 30-year-old woman, said her fear stems from the allotment’s isolated location plus the fact that Brueckner was the tenant when tragic Inga went missing. The woman, a tour guide, told the Sunday People: “I am worried he may have buried a body here. The woman added: “I don’t feel comfortable in the house now.
Madeleine McCann investigators have refused to say what they found in the secret cellar they discovered on Wednesday. He said the police are likely looking for any form of "data carrier" - such as USB sticks, external hard drives or mobile phones. In June we reported how she was under police protection in a safehouse in Braunschweig.Officers feared she could flee the country or may be attacked by one of Brueckner’s accomplices.
