Ireland will be placed under a Level Five lockdown from midnight on Wednesday, the Taoiseach has confirmed.
The second lockdown, which will see a return to the 5km travel limit, will be in force until December 1. But there are some alterations to the plan, which, as we reported earlier, will see GAA inter-county championships to continue, along with horse racing and the Six Nations.And all gyms, pools and leisure centres will be locked as the effort to beat Covid affects both work and play.Restrictions on movement will also return, with people now only allowed stay within 5km of their home.
