The Norwich City left-back could have had an impressive career as an athlete if he hadn't proved to be so promising at football as a youngster

Liverpool obviously want to sign Norwich City's Jamal Lewis for his football ability, but the Northern Ireland international is also an impressive athlete.

The website balls.ie have unearthed Lewis's athletic records from his youth as listed on thepowerof10.info, and they show his huge promise at various distances. The world record for that distance is Wayde van Niekerk's 43.03 seconds, with the under-18 record at 44.84 seconds. “You’ll find him in the gym before training and after training and he’s probably one of those kids, having worked with him for a little bit of time, you have to keep the reins on a bit so he doesn’t do too much.
